Help Urgent Care MD Write Letters of Support to our U.S. Military

Did you know that Urgent Care MD is a proud, veteran owned, local business?

Several of our owners, doctors, and staff have served in various branches of the U.S. Military. In fact, Urgent Care MD actively supports several charities in New Orleans, and around the country, that support veteran and current military members.

This next bit of news should then come as no surprise.

We’ve teamed up with the “A Million Thanks” campaign to make sure our military men & women (past & present), know they’re appreciated.

Write a letter for a U.S. military member, and drop it off at an Urgent Care MD location near you!

What exactly is A Million Thanks?

From Amillionthanks.org, ” Million Thanks provides support and appreciation to our active and veteran military men and women through sending letters and granting betterment of life wishes, as well as providing higher education scholarships to their children.”

What can you do to help?

Write a letter of support to a U.S. military member. It can be a short and sweet letter like Kaelynn’s (above), or it can be an epic novel of thanks. The point is, share your appreciation any way you’d like.

Who can write a letter?

Kids, adults, businesses, or anyone who wants to thank a U.S. military member for their service, past or present.

How will the letters be delivered to the military folks?

We’ll take care of that for you! Just make sure you drop the letters off at the Urgent Care MD on Harrison in Lakeview, or on Canal in Mid-City New Orleans. Or, call our Lakeview office at (504) 309-7108 and we’ll come pick them up for you.

How long will you be collecting letters?

Until the end of July 2015, so hurry up and write those letters!

Our goal is to collect 1000 letters by the end of July!

Dr. Dennis Visits Chalmette National Cemetery for Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a very important day to us here at Urgent Care MD New Orleans.

Many people in the Urgent Care MD family are veterans of the United States Armed Forces. Our employees and staff care greatly about our veterans and those who made the ultimate sacrifice serving our country.

Taking his daughters, Dr. Dennis spent the Friday before Memorial Day planting American Flags at memorial markers inside Chalmette National Cemetery.

Chalmette Grave Markers Long

During a very peaceful morning, hundreds of volunteers took time out of their day to honor those who served our country, and didn’t make it back.

Please watch the following video featuring footage from that morning. To all of those who we have lost while fighting the good fight, thanks for your service.
